Situated in the heart of one of Stockholm's historical suburbs lies a newly built family home. The house's architecture calls upon the history of the area but is still a fusion of old and new. The family wanted a neutral colour scheme and a design with both aesthetical and practical solutions to cater for the life of a family with young children. To match the fusion of old and new in the house's architecture, furniture was chosen as a mixture of contemporary pieces and Swedish antiques. Neutral linen fabrics were used in excess to keep noise levels down and classically chic patterns was used as accents to create interest. The result is a light, airy and elegant living space with plenty of room for both children and social life.
